Helps to stop the I can't draw, syndrome before it starts! Exploration of the Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Space, Color, Texture and Form. Our goal is to direct the child�s ability and imagination with training, motivation and positive reinforcement in a non-judgemental, non-competitive environment.

ELEMENTARY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Grades 1-3, Mon. 4:30-5:30 pm

A complete program including: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage and art history. The elements and principles of art are introduced and explored. Basic techniques, artistic vocabulary and skills are developed. Public exhibitions build self confidence, while small classes and qualified instructors provide an opportunity for becoming a better artist in a fun and stimulating environment.

This class is designed for the student who has completed one or more terms of the After School Elementary ArtVentures Program. The child should have a working knowledge of the Elements of Art, have acquired basic artistic skills in areas of drawing, painting and sculpture, developed an understanding of simple artistic vocabulary, and can stay focused on task for an extended period of time.

The students will expand their knowledge and skills in these areas, learning new techniques, media, and explore a variety of artistic styles. The study of old and contemporary masters will enhance the students understanding of the purposes of art and its reflection on culture and society.

JUST SCULPT IT AGES 6-11
Saturdays, 9:30-10:30 am
September 4th-October 9th
Cost $120 per 6 Class Sessions
A fun class for kids who like to build things! The element of form is explored as students create original sculptures made from clay and paper mache. Young artists develop an understanding of 3-dimensional art and the importance of the creative process.

JUST PAINT IT FOR KIDS! AGES 6-11

September 4th-October 9th
Cost $120 per 6 Class Sessions
For kids who love to paint. Learn how to make every color in the world and ways to paint with them. Then use this knowledge to create original works of art. Kids make their paintbrushes do what THEY want them to do!
