Program Descriptions

The programs below are designed especially for a visit from your organization, daycare, learning center, home school group or private school. We can accommodate up to 18 students and provide them with a fun, creative learning experience.

We work with local girl and boy scouts in helping them to full fill badge requirements and provide home school children with quality visual art education that meets or exceeds the National Standards. Our summer workshops will give daycare children a fun filled "ArtVenture" that can enhance and complement your existing program.

Many of the following programs can be modified to accommodate time requirements and can be designed to correspond with a specific curriculum.

Young Children Ages 4-7 Can be modified for older children.

Bubble & Drip Painting Wonderful, messy and fun! A lesson in how the primary colors mix to make the secondary and tertiary colors. Time: 1 hour Cost: $10 per child, 10 child min.

Princess/Pirate Portraits Using card stock forms, children design, color and embellish their princess or pirate with jewels, feathers and other wonderful stuff to create their character.   Time: 1 1/2 hour Cost: $12 per child 10 child min.

Build A Treasure Box Young artists are taught the way to make the clay do what they want it to do. They pinch it, pull it, poke it and shape it into a small box or bowl with a lid. Later, treasure magically appears in their special creation.
Time: 1 hour Cost $12 per child 10 child min.

Puppet Makers Imagine creating your own made up animal, giving it personality, a voice and surrounding it with other made up friends. Then, creating a story all about the fun they can have together. Children love it!!
Time: 1 1/2 hour Cost $12 10 child min.

Children Ages 7-12

Artful Aliens Children create their own alien creatures from paper mache and found objects and paint. Naming them and giving them a personality just adds to the fun! Form, pattern and texture are identified and explored.   Time: 3 hours, Cost $15 10 child min.

Drawing With Your Dinosaur   We explore the different types of ancient creatures, examining their detail, texture, shape and size. Then, we place them in an ancient forest and watch them evolve. Marker and colored pencil are used. Especially fun for boys, but girls love it too!
Time: 1 1/2 hour   Cost $12 per child 10 child min.

Make Art Like An Egyptian Mummies and mummies and mummies Oh My! We delve into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, learn to write using hieroglyphics, and make Egyptian artifacts using clay and found objects. Time 2-2 1/2 hours Cost $13 per child 10 child min.

Yea For Clay! Young artists create an original work of art from an air dry clay that they can take home or back to your facility and paint. Creative ideas, pattern and texture are explored. Time: 2 hours Cost $12 per child 10 child min.

Creative Cartoons Each child will create an original comic strip character and comic strip. Markers and colored pencils are used. Boys and girls love this one! Time 2 1/2-3 hours Cost $12 per child

Painting Purple People Portrait painting but, with a twist. We learn to mix colors to create new colors and see how we look in a rainbow of hues. Time 2 1/2-3 hours Cost $13 per child 10 child min.

Scout Badge Programs
We work within the badge requirements to design a specific program that is fun, affordable and educational for your young scout.
