About ArtVentures Studio

ArtVentures Studio was established in 1988 by Joetta Currie, artist,

educator and community arts advocate. She has enjoyed the privilege

of directing young artist's creative abilities for almost thirty years.

She believes in the importance of establishing a good foundation for

young artists. Helping them develop an understanding of the basic

elements and principles that go into creating an original work of art,

and encouraging them to push their imagination to infinity and beyond.

In November of 2012, she closed the facility in Rockwall, to enjoy an

early retirement. But, continues to offer a variety of small classes at her private studio.

Joetta is a professional artist, working in oil and mixed media.

Public Places and Cultural Art Commissions, was the Founding Director of the

Rockwall County Alliance for the Arts, President of the Rockwall Art League,

and served on the Board of Directors for Rockwall Community Playhouse
